This section is an assortment of Unpublished Essays written to address issues concerning the execution of agencies forensics operations. These essays are the result of over thirty year's experience , several thousand hours of formal training and ten years supervising a medium size agency's forensic unit. The knowledge gained from completely overhauling every aspect of the units operation proved to be an eye opening experience. There are probably hundreds of people with similar experience across the country. What I discovered in 1995 is still basically true; there is not much information out there on how to go about establishing an effective forensic operation. A myth our unit laid to rest was the notion that only large law enforcement agencies can be forensically effective. Hopefully, these essays and other information on the web site will be of some assistance to those charged with the responsibility of establishing or rebuilding a forensic operation.
